Georgian House, Canterbury

Premium price property for location and parking. Positive: Excellent location with private parking in center city Canterbury allowing super easy access to everything. Location was our main priority and was the reason this property was chosen. The owner was flexible to accommodate a last minute date change. Each bedroom had access to its own bathroom which were all clean with great water pressure. Beds were comfortable with nice bedding. Negative: Inability to adjust temperature in the house which was set at 17* Celsius and turned on only twice daily. It was very cold in the house which limited where we could gather to the first floor parlor which had gas fireplaces. There was, however,a strong musty odor in these 2 rooms which wasn’t ideal. Improved with the fireplaces turned on but still noticeable. Dated furniture with musty odors. No dryer. Washer wasn’t working properly. No microwave. No toiletries. One towel per person for the week.
